I have been seeing a lot of reels where people’s heads are cut off on the top of the frame. Nobody wants their head chopped off :-)

I finally had the “eureka” moment, recognizing that many people don’t realize that they can actually move their images around within the frame when they are building their reels!

SO.....

When you upload a picture, the Reel Builder automatically blows it up to fill in the entire frame. But, you can move your picture around within the frame and/or use the tools on the left side of the builder to increase or decrease the size of the picture.

We've thought of everything!

For instance, here is a good example of the vertical picture problem...
Absolutely adorable photo, but within a square frame, Dad and Baby get left out.

But, all I have to do is use the "scale" tool to the left. Move the cursor left and the photo gets smaller...move the cursor to the right and the photo gets bigger. In this case, we want smaller so everybody fits! *If you are using your phone, simply use your fingers to move the image or scale it in or out.

Even if you zoom out and see the black edges, it won't make your reel look bad. The black edges blend in with the color of the reel, so there is no big difference. Your picture just simply won't fill up the frame....much better than cutting people off! :-)

People getting cut off can really be a problem with horizontal group pictures. The important thing to remember is that reel frames are square, so people on the edges may get left behind.
Take this picture for example...

But, with a simple scaling (using the tool on the left or your fingers on a phone), I can zoom out and make sure everyone fits within the picture. Then, if the photo looks off center, simply click and drag it around to move it within the frame.

Again, leaving the black lines doesn't make too big of a difference since the black color blends in with the whole reel (see below). It looks much better than only seeing half of a person :-)
